Biography

Vesna Karapetkovska-Hristova, PhD was born on August 30, 1979 in Bitola. In 2007, she graduated at the Faculty of Biotechnical Sciences, University “St. Kliment Ohridski” – Bitola obtaining a professional title Engineer in processing of animal products. In 2011, she defended the master thesis at Faculty of Biotechnical Sciences, University “St. Kliment Ohridski” – Bitola, gaining an academic title of Master of Biotechnical Sciences from the field of Food Quality and Safety. In 2015, at the Faculty of Agronomy, Trakia University, Stara Zagora, R. Bulgaria she defended doctoral thesis under the title “Metabolic Status of Holstein Friesian Cows with reproductive disorders”, thus gaining a scientific degree of Doctor of Biotechnical Sciences, Genetic and Selection of Domestic Animals.

Since 09.11.2007, gaıns a full tıme employee status at the Faculty of Biotechnical Sciences – Bitola. At the moment she is appointed as Associate Professor at the Faculty of Biotechnical Sciences – Bitola, where she is involved in realization of the teaching of all three cycles of studies at this Faculty.

At the first cycle of studies, she conducts classes in the following subjects: Raw materials of animal origin, Cattle farming, Poultry farming, Sheep and goat farming, Bee Keeping, By – products of  animal origin, Livestock feeding and Genetic and Selection of domestic animals.

At the second cycle of studies, she leads the subjects: Contemporary concepts in the diet of domestic animals and fish, Selection, Modern Technologies in ruminants farming.

At the third cycle of studies, she leads the subjects: Modern Technologies in feeding of domestic animals and fish, Apiculture and Management of the production of animal products.

For the past several years she is working in the field of Biotechnology, Livestock production, Food Quality and Environmental Pollution. She has published to date over 70 refereed journal and conference papers (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Vesna Hristova/publications). Also she took participation in many workshops in the area of Agribusiness, Rural development as well as Climatic changes and Environment. From 2010 is a member of presidency of NGO Movement for Environment “Molika” and from 2019 is a president of NGO for Education of youth and women in rural areas, SL Bitola.

She took participation in 2 projects:
